Message	First... Dave... thank you, you rocketh yea verily. And now for the twist... Not only was the relay not working, but (and this is where I kick myself for forgetting electrical 101) The main power lead to the starter from the battery (via the lovely wiring harness) had a bad spot... you know, the kind where the wire is no longer connected. So, I found that and ran a bypass with new 4 gauge cable. And when there was still no , I did the relay bypass and viola, I have a happily running Z again. As with all things automotive, I get the really oddball combo deals, with no reasonable explanation as to why or how.
